A challenging project recently completed on these apartments in Windsor. There were 5 courtyards and 2 root top gardens that required landscaping. The main issue for this project was the ability to move materials through several of the courtyards located at the back of the apartments. A crane was required to get all materials 3 levels up to construct the roof top gardens. Due to the roof top gardens only able to have specific load on the deck meant that it had to be very minimal but also conforming to permit requirements.
All courtyards had honed bluestone pavers and trendy screens installed. The plant selection was based on the shady and cool aspects of these areas.
The roof top gardens consisted of modern styled 1m x 400mm x 400mm slate colored troughs and a planting scheme implemented that was drought tolerant as well as being aesthetically interesting.
