The bluestone paving, feature wall and simple planting scheme complimented this classy weatherboard timber residence.

The goals of this design was to create a front yard that would complement the modern look of the timber weatherboard house as well as considering the requirements of family with active young children.

There were two key standout features of this project: feature wall and the bluestone paving. The sawn bluestone pedestrian path consisted of 1m x 500mm x 30mm pavers with a header of 800mm x 200mm x 30mm. The bluestone garden edging was paved to match the header of pedestrian path. The bluestone paving under the front patio were 400mm x 400mm combined with 800mm x 400mm bullnose steps. The feature wall consisted of 90mm Merbau which was offset with piece steel art being of Branch Winter.

A planting scheme including Pyrus calleryana ‘Chanticleer’ Chanticleer Callery Pear/Ornamental Pear and Cycas revoluta Sago Palm against Bright pebbles provided a simple, modern appearance as well as highlighting the clean straight lines. The stainless steel garden and path lighting was meticulously positioned throughout the landscape to highlight key feature of the design. The inclusion of lawn area on either side of the path provides sense of balance as well softening the entire space.
