Beautifully Constructed Landscape for a Contemporary Essendon Home

Forever Green was engaged to design and construct the soft landscaping for this contemporary residence in Essendon, working in close consultation with the developer to ensure the landscape aligned with the architectural vision and enhanced the property’s overall street appeal.

With over 30 years of experience in residential landscaping across Melbourne, our team brought deep horticultural expertise to every stage of the project. The process began with thorough soil preparation and enhancement, establishing the foundation for long-term plant health and performance.

Drawing on our understanding of Melbourne’s climate and conditions, we developed a plant palette featuring Ligularia reniformis, Liriope, Foxtail Ferns, and clipped evergreens — chosen for their structure, resilience, and year-round appeal. The planting was carefully layered to create texture and depth, complemented by black mulch to aid moisture retention and visual contrast.

We also constructed the landscape with carefully placed stepper stone pavers that beautifully enhanced the garden’s aesthetic. These pavers introduced a natural flow throughout the space, adding rustic charm and defining clear pathways within the design.

To support the long-term sustainability of the garden, we installed a Wi-Fi-enabled smart irrigation system, providing efficient, targeted watering tailored to each zone of the landscape.
